RSNA 2003 The RSNA 2003 meeting attracted approximately 60,000 heathcare decision-makers from all over the world, including radiologists and other imaging professionals. The FONAR exhibit, which is regularly among the larger in the show, features a full-size model of the Stand-Up™ MRI, including a fully operational patient handling system, located at the center of the Company’s highly attractive 60’ by 80’ exhibit.
Live presentations were made throughout the day to visitors comfortably seated in the large theatre area surrounding the Stand-Up MRI. Guests were invited to “take a ride” on the multi-directional bed, or to sit and watch a video segment on the 42” flat screen TV that comes standard with the unit.
Radiologist J. Randy Jinkins, M.D., of Downstate Medical Center in New York, spoke on Upright, Weight-Bearing, Dynamic-Kinetic MRI of the Spine: “What is Being Missed on Recumbent MRI.”
Professor Francis W. Smith of the University of Aberdeen in Scotland spoke on “One Year’s Experience Working With Position MRI.”
