Attendees Agree: ''It's Not Just an MRI - It's an Upright

NEW YORK, March 9, 2005 - FONAR Corporation (NASDAQ-FONR), The
MRI Specialist™, hosted an Upright™ Imaging Technologist
Workshop & Marketers/Owners Meeting, March 5 - 8 in Long
Island. Over 200 radiology technologists, site marketers and
Upright™ MRI customers attended the event.
Shawn De La Garza, CEO of McAllen MRI Center, McAllen, Texas,
spoke at the marketers/owners meeting: "We are in a large
concentration (25) of competitors within a small area of south
Texas, including another Upright™ MRI, just 7 miles away.
It is a surprise to some that we have such a large patient volume.
We do this through an internal program of customer service,
motivating our employees, and utilizing the many advantages
of the Upright™ MRI over all the other MRIs."

The Upright™ Imaging Technologist Workshop included
discussions on Upright™ imaging technology, scanning applications,
recent Upright™ MRI developments, advanced imaging techniques,
MRI safety and techniques for selling the new concept of Upright™
MRI to referring physicians, patients and insurance companies.
Because of the overwhelming response by Upright™ MRI technologists,
(scanner operators) to the invitation to the workshop, the workshop
was conducted over a two-day period in a lecture hall on the
SUNY Farmingdale campus.
The marketers/owners portion of the meeting, held at the Huntington
Hilton in Melville, NY, focused on marketing techniques. Presentations
for this session included selling Upright™ MRI scans,
diagnostic advantages of the Upright™ MRI and the role
of advertising and its impact.
